Public Awareness – Phase I PDF

TuzlaTuzla/ Ugljevik, February 9, 2009 - The first phase of Public Awareness Assessment started during February 2009. On February 9 the interviews with key stakeholders from Tuzla and Ugljevik municipality were conducted.

the Municipality of Tuzla (Mr. Kemal Kurevic). Prior to the interviews a set of questions was sent to key stakeholders in order to provide best possible information needed for Public Awareness assessment. The response was excellent. The key stakeholders responded to a series of questions related to efforts done in the field of environment, how those efforts were communicated with wider community, what are the biggest environmental problems in the community/ Thermo Power Plant and what are the plans for improvement in the field of environmental protection and energy efficiency.

Second phase Public Awareness assessment is planned to be conducted through Focus Groups meetings comprised of school, fisherman association, local NGO’s, health workers and other interest groups representatives.
