Two new initiatives in Tuzla PDF
During June 2009, UNDP BH started assessment within Tuzla Municipality on potential new sub-project that fits to overall goal of the project, that can be done with the remaining funds from Ugljevik and that can be finalized within the project timeframe. After Donors approval of Plan B (16th of July 2009) these funds were allocated to Tuzla. The new project initiative (Plan B) consists of two component:
a) Connecting of Slavinovici hospital to district heating system (fully shutting down of coal based boilers and replacement with natural gas boilers for sanitary hot water and process steam) and;

b) Connecting of the local community of Dragadol (the municipality of Tuzla) to district heating system and shutting down of coal based boilers in 28 apartment buildings (blocks). By connecting to the district heating system, reduction of air pollution from these households will be 100% as district heating system provides heating from waste energy (cogeneration process).
