Under Western Balkans Environment Programe UNDP has started implementation of Training Program in Energy Efficiency in Bosnia and Herzegovina. This program is aimed to strengthen capacities, awareness and the level of knowledge of target groups about energy efficiency and renewable energy sources through trainings/workshops for municipality managers, local authorities and stakeholders in building and industry sector in 5 municipalities...
in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Capacity Building Program in Energy Efficiency includes measures to improve the energy performance of products, buildings and services, improve the field of energy production and distribution, promote and increase usage of renewable energy sources and recommend technical and strategic methods for efficient improvements (increase profits, reduce financial risk, improve service quality, and boost worker productivity).
Selected municipalities in Bosnia and Herzegovina to be included in Capacity Building are: Banja Luka, Trebinje, Tuzla, Livno, and Bijeljina (including Brcko district) with neighboring municipalities. Target groups included in Capacity Building Program in Energy Efficiency on divided in two subgroups: public and private sector from five selected municipalities and their neighboring municipalities.
