Heating project continuation |

 Today, on 23rd April 2010, works on connection of the Clinic for Pulmonary Diseases JZU UKC Tuzla to the district heating network started. This is a huge step and we are very content that realization of the project continues, as well as that UKC Tuzla will be followed by the Clinic for Pulmonary Diseases in Slavinovići, as well as housing units in the local community of Tušanj.” “Today we are witnesses that we continue heating of the UKC Tuzla. This is a very important project for us as well,” stated Prof. Elmir Čičkušić, Ph. D. in Medical Sciences, Director of JZU UKC Tuzla, adding that, in addition to connection to the district heating network, the UKC Tuzla will have back-up options of heating on gas and solar energy. “This project returns the old reputation to this hospital, located in the green, clean and healthy environment, and with adequate environment for the patients being treated here,” stated Raduška Cupać, UNDP Project Manager for Environmental Capacity Building in BiH. Thanks to good cooperation of the Municipality of Tuzla, UKC Tuzla and UNDP, as well as support of the Dutch Government, realization of the project is in the second phase, within which heating of the Clinic in the eastern part of town and of housing units in the area of the local community Tušanj will be done. The value of the project is 1,200,000 dollars and its completion is planned to be done within three months.
