Jasmin Imamović, Mayor of the Municipality of Tuzla together with his associates, Raduška Cupać, UNDP Project Manager and Prof. Elmir Čičkušić, Ph. D. in Medical Sciences, Director of the University Clinical Center, were present at getting the contractors, Tehnograd Inženjering d.o.o. into work, by which works on heating of the Clinic for Pulmonary Diseases in the area of Slavinovići have started. The Mayor emphasized once more that this year will be the year of heating, as well as that the number of heated square meters will improve the living and work conditions of patients and staff at the Clinical Center, as well as provide for cleaner sky above Tuzla. The contractors got into works in the local community Tušanj (the area of Dragadol). The value of heating projects for the Pulmonary Hospital in Slavinovići and in the area of Dragadol is KM 1,450,000. Upon completion of this project, heating of collective buildings in the local communities of Šićki Brod and Bukinje, as well as preparation of the project documentation for Kreka, were announced. The Mayor participated today in the event organized within the program for hundredth birth anniversary of the writer Meša Selimović, which was organized by the Grammar School “Meša Selimović”. On this occasion, the Mayor announced a dialogue titled “Facing hundredth anniversary of birth of Meša Selimović”, which is planned, according to the program, for Saturday, 24th April at the International Portrait Gallery, beginning at 19:00 hours. Performance of the play “Fortress” is planned for Sunday, 25th April, at the National Theater of Tuzla. The Mayor announced holding of a central event in Sarajevo, to be organized by the cities of Sarajevo and Tuzla, as well as the Academy of Sciences and Arts of BiH. When addressing the present, the Mayor emphasized the significance of this prominent BiH writer for the city of Tuzla, and placed flowers in front of Meša Selimović sculpture, in his honor. The Mayor participated today in a working meeting, related to the organization of the event EVERYBODY WALTZER NOW, on the occasion of celebrating 9th of May, the Day of Victory over Fascism and Day of Europe. The Mayor also held a meeting with representatives of the SDP Tuzla club and, as part of preparations for the session of OV Tuzla, a session of the Commission for Elections and Appointment was held.
